Leading zeros are still digits

A code can start with 0. Do not parse the text as an integer before you type it.
0482 is four characters. The integer 482 is three. Portals compare strings. If you parse the API text as a number and print it back, you drop the zero and the form fails.
Keep text as a string in your client. The SDKs already type it as a string. Do not run it through int() or Number() except to log.
length: 4 plus a leading zero is a normal success. Nothing in the response says the zero was optional.
The same rule applies to Hindi answers only in the sense that text is still a string of Western digits. "36" should be sent as 36, and expression stays in the log.
