A one-time password is not a captcha image

If the code arrives by SMS, there is no image to send. Do not photograph the SMS.
People mix up an OTP and a captcha because both are short digit strings. An OTP is delivered by SMS or email. A numeric captcha is drawn as an image on the page. This API only sees images.
Photographing an SMS and sending the photo is the wrong tool and a poor reading. Read the message through the channel that received it.
If the page shows both an OTP field and a captcha image, solve only the image. Type the OTP from the message into the other field.
The API will happily read digits in a photo of a screen. That does not make it the right design.
