Captcha OCR

Log ids, not images

2026-04-03 · Using the API

Captcha images are personal only in the sense that they are useless later and bulky now. The id is the record.

An access log that stores every PNG will fill a disk and will not help a report. The report route wants the id. Store that, the options you sent, the status, reliable, and charged.

Do not log the API key. A bearer token in an access log is a leaked key. Log the key prefix if you need to know which key ran.

raw and expression are short. They are safe to log and they explain Hindi and math answers.

Image bodies belong in a short-lived temp file if you need to debug one failure, then they should be deleted.
